Sales for Accor rose considerably in the first half of the year.

In its annual report, Accor Group stated that its revenue climbed by 39% to EUR 2,402 million in the first half of 2023. EBITDA more than doubled, reaching EUR 447 million.

The chairman and CEO of Accor, S├ębastien Bazin, stated, “Activity growth was quite high across all our brands and markets in the first half of the year. These strong results are supported by our strategy’s persistent application, our brands’ allure, and the dedication of our personnel. As a result of the strong demand for both leisure and business travel, this trend is anticipated to continue in the upcoming months. This achievement enables us to increase our 2023 guidance and keep putting money into our brands, people, and technology.

According to the annual report, business performance in the Group’s two business groups was strong in the second quarter of 2023. Both leisure and corporate tourists continued to have significant demand for hotels. The increase in average hotel rates and the improvement in occupancy rates also showed this.
The group’s full-year EBITDA projection, which was announced at its Capital Markets Day on June 27, 2023, can now be raised in light of these outcomes.
114 hotels totaling 14,500 rooms were opened by Accor in the first half of 2023, indicating a net rise of 3.5% over the previous year. The group had a pipeline of 217,000 rooms (1262 hotels) and an existing hotel portfolio of 805,436 rooms (5487 hotels) as of the end of June 2023.
